Brittany first moved to Clintonville in 2008 after graduating from Bowling Green State University. A rural Northeast Ohio native, Brittany is a proud first generation college graduate and product of Ohio’s public schools. After trying out a few different neighborhoods (including a stint in Chicago for grad school), Brittany couldn’t shake her love of Clintonville and decided to return. She moved to her home on Chatham Road in 2016 with her husband, Justin Nigro, who she met while working together as Statehouse staffers. They have two small daughters and enjoy visiting the parks, playgrounds, trails, and local businesses of Central Clintonville.
Brittany has a background in government service and government relations, strategic communications, and public policy. She currently handles all of these things for a statewide nonprofit community development organization, and has run numerous advocacy campaigns for non-profits and small businesses. She’s fundraised for people facing homelessness in our community and currently serves as Vice President for Ohio Women in Government, an organization dedicated to supporting women interested or working in and around government. She’s passionate about access to basic needs: fresh and healthy food, affordable housing, living wage jobs, public education, and greenspace.
