As a 27 year resident of Clintonville, I have always been interested in my community and neighborhood. Now, retired, I want to get more involved in learning and understanding how our community operates. I have been involved with the Clintonville Historical Society, my street association, as well as attending and participating in CAC, committee meetings and city focused meetings dealing with revising of the zoning code.
Growing up in a small town, I was always taught that you look after your neighbors and offer help when needed. Working together, communicating and understanding makes a stronger and safer neighborhood and community. My hope is that my involvement in CAC will increase awareness and encourage involvement of others in the community in the process of preserving and improving our community to be the great community that we all love and cherish.
Our Clintonville community will be facing some challenges in the near future with zoning, preservation of green spaces, traffic, safety, affordable housing, respectful and reasonable density, bikeways and homelessness. I look forward to working with the other commissioners in strengthening and preserving the character of our community with respect and dignity.
