My name is John Eschenbrenner and I am running for commissioner for District 7 of the Clintonville Area Commission. My family and I have been Clintonville residents for over five years. My wife works for the Columbus City School District and our two older boys go to Columbus City Schools, with our youngest son on his way next year. I, along with my business partner, own and operate a local business in Clintonville. We feel very connected and rooted in this great community and I am committed to making it better for everyone. My business is consulting engineering and we provide engineering services for a wide breadth of project types throughout the country. We are exposed to the entire construction process, including zoning, construction, and coordination with communities and building departments. I understand issues that affect developers and communities, and hope that through my experiences in this field I can project a thoughtful perspective on a multitude of construction and development topics and issues. I would like to see development projects that make sense for the area served in terms of zoning, parking, infrastructure support, community backing, architectural design, and good financial sense. I think a good example of this would be the continued development and improvement of Indianola Avenue. One resident in the district suggested to have a community pool in an area that supports that use, which I think would be a wonderful idea. Improving the ability to walk from our houses to local restaurants and retail outlets is important and the infrastructure to support this could and would be invasive; however, the idea of connectivity, growth, and welfare improves with the simplicity of our day to day lives. Please show your support by voting for John Eschenbrenner and allow me to better support this great community.
