Safety Message

From CAC Chair BJ White:
“Many neighbors are expressing concerns that children are playing on the playground equipment at our Clintonville area playgrounds. Brevoort Park, Whetstone, Park, Como Park, Sharon Meadows Park (to name a few) have playground equipment. Please do get out and about and enjoy the park but take a moment to observe the stay at home order about the playground closures.”
“The Governor’s Stay At Home Order, page 2, section 5, paragraph (c) reads the following:  c. For outdoor activity. To engage in outdoor activity, provided the individuals comply with Social Distancing Requirements, as defined below, such as, by way of example and without limitation, walking, hiking, running, or biking. Individuals may go to public parks and open outdoor recreation areas. However, public access playgrounds may increase spread of COVID19, and therefore shall be closed.”

CANCELLATION: March 25th CAC Zoning & Variance Meeting

  1. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the March 25, 2020 meeting of the CAC’s Zoning and Variance Committee has been canceled.
  2. We may be able to hold future meetings virtually, but we will only do so if 1) the Attorney General’s advice on the subject allows it, 2) the commissions and boards applicants see after us begin to meet again, and 3) we can technically make it work so committee members can participate and the public can at least view the proceedings.
  3. My apologies to the applicants who cannot proceed with their projects.
  4. It will take a while, but we will get through this.
  5. This notice is a public record. Please feel free to forward it to anyone you want.

Thank you,
Stephen Hardwick, Chair

Upcoming Meeting Cancellations – March Z&V and April CAC

All,

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation, the CAC is taking a precautionary step by canceling the following upcoming meetings:

  1. Zoning & Variance Committee that had been scheduled for Wednesday March 25th.
  2. CAC General Meeting that was to be held on Thursday April 2nd.

We find it to be in the best interest of the community & hope to continue with the next round of regularly scheduled meetings that would be late April for Zoning & Variance and early May for CAC General meeting.

Thank you!
