N High St & Henderson Rd – Intersection Work

Construction on the crosswalks at Henderson Road and High Street will be occurring over the next two weekends (6/15-6/18 & 6/22-6/25). Construction will begin each Friday at 7pm and will conclude in the early morning hours each Monday. During these periods, North & South bound traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction. Please note that given the high traffic volume of this intersection there will be traffic delays.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—(Columbus, Ohio). The Clintonville Area Commission is recruiting new members for its committees for the 2018-2019 term. The Commission has five standing committees: Planning & Development, Zoning & Variance, Historic Buildings Preservation, Technology and Public Relations, and Election. Information regarding the standing committees is set forth in the Commission’s bylaws, which are available at http://www.clintonvilleareacommission.org/?p=268.
Members of the committees are volunteers and serve 1-year terms, beginning the first Thursday of August.
Clintonville residents interested in joining one of the Commission’s committees may submit a letter of interest via email to commissioners@clintonvilleareacommission.org
by 5 pm on Friday, July 13.
The letter should include: mailing address, phone contact information, the specific committee(s) of interest, as well as a brief statement regarding your background or reason for interest in the committees. Resumes are not necessary but may be submitted.
About the Clintonville Area Commission.. The Clintonville Area Commission was empowered in 1974 by the Columbus City Charter to represent the Clintonville community in the discussion of community concerns. By City code, the purpose of the Commission is to “…afford additional voluntary citizen participation in the decision making in an advisory capacity and to facilitate communications, understanding and cooperation between neighborhood groups, city officials and developers.”

Informational Session (May 23, 2018)
On May 23, 2018 at 9:30 am, the City of Columbus Department of Development will host an informational meeting on Columbus Citywide Planning Policies. The meeting will be located at the Michael B. Coleman Government Center, 111 N Front Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215 in the Hearing Room (2nd floor).
Council Member Jaiza Page and Director of Development Steve Schoeny will be in attendance.

The uncertified results of today’s election are:

District 5
Dana Bagwell – 40 votes

District 7
John Eichenbrenner – 8 votes
Michael Weinman – 7 votes

One vote for John Eichenbrenner was cast under provisions of Election Rules VI. C. (4) which permit a voter who does not have identification indicating current address and age to vote by presenting a statement that he is 18 years of age or older and currently resides at a stated address within the election district in which he is voting. Any candidate may review the residency statement and dispute the veracity of the statement. Election complaints must be submitted to the Election Committee Chair in writing and delivered to the Whetstone Library no later than the close of business on May 10, 2018.
